The Benefits

Remember that an apprenticeship is an ”earn while you learn” program. Go to school at night, get paid to work during the day.  Apprentices will receive pay increases during the course of their apprenticeship based on the amount of work hours they have successfully completed in the program. Those raises are set in the following increments:

1st Year

$21.66/hr. (Completion of 1000 hours)

1st Year

$21.66/hr. (Completion of 1000 – 2000 hours)

2nd Year

$23.82/hr. (Completion of 2000 – 3500 hours)

3rd Year

$25.99/hr. (Completion of 3500 – 5000 hours)

4th Year

$30.32/hr. (Completion of 5000 – 6500 hours)

5th Year

$34.65/hr. (Completion of 6500 – 8000 hours)

Note: As of May 28, 2023, the rate of pay for an individual who completes the 5-year apprenticeship program and becomes a journeyman electrician in Local Union 294 will be: $43.31/hr. plus Paid Benefits
